About Cochrane Search and Rescue

"Cochrane Search and Rescue, as a registered non-profit society, delivers a professional-quality search and rescue service to the community by developing and maintaining resources to safely, efficiently and effectively resolve incidents in the Cochrane region."

CSAR Background

The Cochrane Search and rescue Society was created in 2002 and provides a valuable service to Cochrane and surrounding areas.

We partner with the Calgary Search and Rescue (CALSARA) and Foothills Search and Rescue organizations, as well as other SAR bodies as requested.

We have the ability to provide Civil Emergency Response as required for major incidents (e.g. Pine Lake disaster).

We also provide a proactive program to school-children with the "Lost in the Woods" program.
